Camping & Hiking options

  • Hiker/camper permit

    Please purchase one (1) for each hiker in your group. Once you have downloaded these forms for each hiker, please ensure that one of them is filled out and left on the dashboard of your vehicle during your stay on the farm. The back of each form has discounts for local small businesses in the area. Please support our local small businesses and present your form at checkout to receive your discount.

  • Fishing Permit

    Pleas purchase one (1) for all adults fishing. Cole’s Greene Acres Farm has two (2) stocked farm ponds. These permits allow you to fish at either one, please carry with you when fishing. These ponds have been stocked with Bass, Bluegill, and Grass Carp. Please enjoy the excitement of your fishing experience, however the ponds are catch and release ponds. Please do not keep any fish.

  • T.C.'s Loop Trail

    Download this map for Buck Rub, Valley Floor, or Gobblers Knob Primitive Campsites.

    T.C.’s Loop Trail is a 3.2 mile loop hike with almost a 712 foot gain in elevation. Buck Rub Primitive Campsite located at 0.7 miles, Valley Floor Primitive Campsite located at 1.2 miles, Gobblers Knob Primitive Campsite (larger groups) located at 2.0-2.1 miles. Vally Floor Spur is located at 1.4 miles and will take you out to Bells Run Rd. If you want to do only a 2 mile hike, the Two Mile Cutoff is located at 1.8 miles. If you would like to do more than 3 miles you can start with Earl’s Loop and continue onto T.C.’s Loop or you can take Lohr’s Spur at 2.35 miles to get onto Orchard Loop, complete it, then finish out T.C.’s Loop.

  • Earl's Loop Trail

    Download this map for Leaning Trees, Meadows, or 3 Trees Primitive Campsites.

    Earl’s Loop Trail is a 2 mile loop hike. Leaning Trees Primitive Campsite located at 0.6 miles, Meadows Primitive Campsite (larger groups) located at 0.8 miles, Cumberledge Spur to 3 Trees Primitive Campsite located at 1.3 miles. If you would like to do more than 2 miles you can continue on to T.C.’s Loop (3.2 miles). The trail head for T.C.’s Loop is in the parking lot. You can also take Lohr’s Spur at 2.35 miles on T.C.’s Loop to get onto Orchard Loop (2.5 miles), complete it, then finish out T.C.’s Loop.

  • Leaning Trees Primitive Campsite

    This site is truly a primitive site. No composting outhouse or potable water is available at this site. If you think you’ll need it, pack it in. You could also visit the “extras” page of the online gift and coffee shop and have those items waiting at the site when you arrive. Please be courteous to others and dig your “cat hole” in the designated area of the site. This site can accommodate 2-3 small hiker tents and has a fire ring, cooking surface, and cooking tripod. Bundles of firewood are available for purchase, however, you are welcome to collect & cut dead and/or fallen timber for firewood.

  • Gobblers Knob Primitive Campsite

    This site is truly a primitive site. No composting outhouse or potable water is available at this site. If you think you’ll need it, pack it in. You could also visit the “extras” page of the online gift and coffee shop and have those items waiting at the site when you arrive. Please be courteous to others and dig your “cat hole” in the designated area of the site. This site can accommodate several (8+) tents and has a fire ring, cooking surface, and cooking tripod. Bundles of firewood are available for purchase, however, you are welcome to collect & cut dead and/or fallen timber for firewood.

  • Valley Floor Primitive Campsite

    This site is truly a primitive site. No composting outhouse or potable water is available at this site (There is a stream that could be filtered). If you think you’ll need it, pack it in. You could also visit the “extras” page of the online gift and coffee shop and have those items waiting at the site when you arrive. Please be courteous to others and dig your “cat hole” in the designated area of the site. This site can accommodate several (3+) tents and has a fire ring, cooking surface, and cooking tripod. Bundles of firewood are available for purchase, however, you are welcome to collect & cut dead and/or fallen timber for firewood.

  • 3 Trees Primitive Campsite

    This site is truly a primitive site. No composting outhouse or potable water is available at this site. If you think you’ll need it, pack it in. You could also visit the “extras” page of the online gift and coffee shop and have those items waiting at the site when you arrive. Please be courteous to others and dig your “cat hole” in the designated area of the site. This site can accommodate several (8+) tents and has a fire ring, cooking surface, and cooking tripod.   • Buck Rub Primitive Campsite

    This site is truly a primitive site. No composting outhouse or potable water is available at this site. If you think you’ll need it, pack it in. You could also visit the “extras” page of the online gift and coffee shop and have those items waiting at the site when you arrive. Please be courteous to others and dig your “cat hole” in the designated area of the site. This site can accommodate several (8+) tents and has a fire ring, cooking surface, and cooking tripod. Bundles of firewood are available for purchase, however, you are welcome to collect & cut dead and/or fallen timber for firewood.

  • McMillen Shelter (DUE TO BE COMPLETED 2024/25)

    This is a 3 sided wood structure with a platform. There is space near the shelter to pitch 3-5 tents. There is a composting outhouse nearby and access to potable water relatively close. There is also a fire ring with cooking surface, a cooking tripod, and a picnic table at this site.

  • T.C.'s Shelter (DUE TO BE COMPLETED 2024/25)

    This is a 3 sided wood structure with a platform. There is space near the shelter to pitch 3-5 tents and a composting outhouse nearby. There is also a fire ring with cooking surface, a cooking tripod, and a picnic table at this site.
